New Dates of International Commodity Fair 2020

International Trade Fair for Consumer Goods has been postponed to August
The organizers of International Commodity Fair have announced new dates for the event: it will be held on August 24 - 26, 2020 at the IEC "Expocentre", Moscow. 500 manufacturers from Russia, the CIS, Asia and other regions of the world will present their new products in Pavilion № 1.

New Dates

The decision to postpone the dates was made in agreement with Chinese partners due to the spread of coronavirus in the world. Ensuring safe and comfortable conditions for participants and visitors is a priority for the organizers of International Commodity Fair 2020.

The new dates coincide with the beginning of business activity period that will increase the effectiveness of companies' participation in the exhibition events. Visitors and exhibitors of International Commodity Fair 2020 will meet a larger number of participating countries, an updated forum program, as well as direct B2B negotiations with suppliers and buyers not only from Russia and China, but other regions of the world.

International Exposition of Consumer Goods

International Commodity Fair consists of Russian Export Platform, where domestic export-oriented companies and regions of the Russian Federation present their achievements, an international exposition of manufacturers from Europe, Asia and the CIS, as well as the 5th National Chinese Trade Fair for Quality Consumer Goods "China Commodity Fair".

More than 500 manufacturers will introduce their goods in seven product groups:

  • Home Appliances & Consumer Electronics;
  • Gardening & Outdoors;
  • Gifts & Artware;
  • Food & Beverages;
  • Baby & Kids Products;
  • Beauty & Health Goods.

B2B Matchmaking Sessions

In 2020, International Commodity Fair traditionally will see manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and purchasers of consumer goods from various countries take part in direct B2B matchmaking meetings at Business Negotiations Club for companies targeting the far abroad market and Retail Chains Purchasing CentreTM, a special platform for business development in the Russian market.

The negotiators will discuss the signing of contracts, delivery options, production options under their own brand and other issues of future cooperation. All meetings will be held in a closed business zone with the assistance of professional interpreters and event experts.

Consultation Centre

Consultation Centre is a special area of International Commodity Fair, where visitors and exhibitors may seek assistance in matters of logistics and customs clearance, financing of foreign economic activity and conclusion of contracts, as well as other aspects of cooperation with international partners.

In 2019, AMTEC, Binbank, Lemax Group, SAIF Zone, Buydana, Kitlogistic, KVT Service presented their services as Consultation Centre participants.

"Practice of Trade Cooperation" International Forum

On August 24 – 25, the "Practice of Trade Cooperation" International Business Forum will bring together representatives of the largest trading companies, regional administrations and relevant associations to discuss different issues of foreign economic activity. The first day of the forum will cover questions of consumer goods import into Russia, and the second day will be devoted to the peculiarities of export to Asia, Europe and the CIS countries.

Access to foreign markets, logistics and certification of goods, risks of working with foreign suppliers, intellectual property protection, government support measures and other aspects of foreign economic activity will be among the main topics of the forum.

In 2019 key industry experts including the Russian Export Center, the Moscow Export Center, Ozon, GfK, White Bridge Consulting, Gordon and Sons, Frost & Sullivan, Nielsen Russia, the Association of Small and Medium Exporters, the Union of Independent Networks of Russia, Epinduo.com platform took part in the business program.

Festival of Chinese Culture

On the third day, a festival of Chinese culture will take place at International Commodity Fair. The purpose of the event is to acquaint participants and visitors with the rich cultural heritage of China. The cultural program will include Chinese painting and calligraphy workshops, folk dance art, tea ceremonies with tasting of the best varieties of Chinese tea and other national traditions.
