Import of textiles and footwear to Russia has grown

According to Federal Customs Service of Russia, this January import of goods from abroad has grown up to $13,7 billion. For instance, textile and footwear import share has increased from 7,4% to 7,5%.
Textiles and footwear import has risen at the expense of the growing amount of purchases of jersey fabric which is 25,5%. Russia imports 15,5% chemical strands, 11,7% textiles, 10,7% other chemicals, 2,9% footwear and 2,6% cotton. At the same time the purchases of ready-made textiles have dropped down to 4,7%, cotton - to 4,1% and textile clothes - to 3,0%.

Besides that, the share of mashinery import has grown up from 47,1% to 47,6%. Cosmetics purchases have remained at the same level as in January, 2018. The share of ship purchases has grown by 60% and the purchases of ground transportation vehicles - by 3,6%.
