FAS insists on adjusting the new rules of Wildberries and Ozon

The Federal Antimonopoly Service's reaction was prompted by mass appeals from small business representatives.

Key complaints against Wildberries include:

The «stock index,» which sets inflated storage fees for sellers with low ratings and forces them to offer automatic discounts.
The “rate constructor,” which imposes additional services on entrepreneurs without the option to decline.

The following issues stand out with regard to Ozon:

A new return policy, whereby goods without defects are automatically sent to the marketplace warehouse for resale, depriving owners of the right to retrieve their products.
The lack of a functioning appointment booking system for self-pickup, which leads to unplanned storage costs.

The FAS expert conclusion states that these mechanisms contain signs of imposing unfavorable conditions and require revision towards greater transparency. If the requirements are ignored, antitrust measures may be applied to the companies.

Wildberries stated in its comment that it is ready to follow the regulator's recommendations and refine the controversial mechanisms.
