Everyone knows that from June 18 to 20, 2019, the International Commodity Fair 2019 will take place at Expocentre. This trade fair will bring together several international projects aimed at developing trade relations between Russia and foreign countries. So, what will actually be there?
Facts and Figures
More than 400 supplier companies for contract manufacturing from China, Russia, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, and Serbia, as well as over 12,000 professionals from 30 countries, will participate in the International Commodity Fair. Participants will showcase home decor, household appliances and electronics, kitchen, garden and outdoor recreation products, gifts, handicrafts, beauty and health products, children's goods, food, and agricultural products.
The main mission of the fair is to support international trade, increase Russia's non-resource exports, demonstrate the current situation on the market, and build business and regional connections between various countries.
China Commodity Fair
Chinese manufacturers will traditionally be presented at the main exhibition of high-quality consumer goods—China Commodity Fair. The Chinese section will be combined with the exposition of consumer goods from Russia and the CIS as part of the International Commodity Fair, expanding opportunities for business networking and establishing partnerships. In 2019, China will be represented by 330 manufacturers.
Russian Export Platform
For the first time at the exhibition, Russian federal and regional producers of consumer goods will introduce their latest achievements and eco-friendly products to foreign business. The Russian national exposition will feature companies from 17 Russian regions, including the Republic of Tuva, Vladimir, Pskov, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Kaluga, Lipetsk, Tomsk, Arkhangelsk, Tver, Saratov, Bryansk, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk regions, and the Krasnodar and Krasnoyarsk Territories.
International Business Forum “Practice of Trade Cooperation”
The International Forum “Practice of Trade Cooperation” will, for the fourth time, bring together representatives of Russian and international business to discuss current issues in import and export: entering foreign markets, product logistics and certification, risks in working with foreign suppliers, intellectual property protection, government support measures, and many other aspects. Forum speakers in 2019 include representatives from the Moscow Export Center, Ozon, White Bridge Consulting, the Russian Export Center, Gordon and Sons Agency, the Association of Small and Medium Exporters, and the Epinduo.com platform.
Official Events The development of non-resource goods export-import relations will be actively discussed during a joint meeting of the Club of Heads of Trade and Economic Missions (embassy departments) of foreign states and the Council of Heads of Regional Representations to the President and Government of the Russian Federation. The meeting will conclude with G2G talks between representatives of participating countries.
On the first day of the exhibition, after the official opening ceremony attended by senior Chinese and Russian government and business representatives, an awards ceremony will be held for leading Chinese electronics and home appliance manufacturers—China Home Appliance & Consumer Electronics Innovation Award 2019. Globally recognized Chinese brands, such as Haier, Midea, Hisense, CHiQ, Gree, Skyworth, Shinco, Arcair, Galanz, and Vanward, will present their innovations and developments.
B2B Meeting Areas Participants in the Retail Chains Purchasing Center™ will discuss contract signing, product delivery, private label manufacturing opportunities, and future cooperation with preselected participants of the Chinese national exhibition at International Commodity Fair 2019.
For Russian export-oriented companies, the Business Contact Club will facilitate targeted meetings with invited buyers of consumer goods and food from China and the CIS.
Within the Circle of Success, Russian consumer goods manufacturers will hold negotiations with representatives of the largest Russian retail chains. The organizers will be responsible for follow-up support for the deals.
Themed Exhibition Zones Throughout all three exhibition days, the Unified Consulting Center will support visitors and participants of International Commodity Fair 2019, helping navigate logistics, customs clearance, and foreign economic activity financing.
Visitors will get hands-on with the latest home appliances and electronics in the China Innovation Brand Zone, and can participate in prize and souvenir draws from famous Chinese brands.
In addition to the best electronics brands area, there will be a Smart Home Display Zone headlined by Tuya Smart—one of the world's largest “AI + IoT” developers and a leading interactive voice AI platform.
Exhibition guests can also explore the world of VR technology at the stand of Production Safety Technologies (TPB). Company representatives will present their latest VR developments and services, and introduce advanced solutions for education and industrial process management.
Chinese Culture Festival
The Cultural Festival of Chinese Traditions will take place on June 20, the third day of the International Commodity Fair 2019 at Expocentre. The festival, which includes master classes in calligraphy and painting, musical and dance performances, skits, and poetry readings in Chinese, is organized in collaboration with the Russian-Chinese Association "Kitaniya" and the Eastern Culture Club "Two Empires."
There will be a special tea ceremony area at the exhibition, where visitors can taste the finest varieties of Chinese tea. Representatives from DAO Teahouse will explain all the nuances of the tea ceremony, including brewing methods and times, the differences between tea varieties, and unique rituals.
