Day 3 of the International | China Commodity Fair: we’re waiting for you!

Here’s a recap of the highlights from the first two days of the business program:

A persistent trend in recent years has been the strengthening of Chinese imports’ positions within the structure of the Russian consumer market. Today, goods from China are as important to the economy as domestic production.

However, the sharp increase in supply volumes hasn’t eliminated the operational challenges retailers and sellers face—from building logistics chains to certification and formalizing legal relationships with partners. These current topics for importers formed the basis of the International | China Commodity Fair’s business program agenda.

The first block was dedicated to assortment management. Speaker Evgeny Razin covered topics such as:

The third session focused on certification and customs clearance of Chinese goods. This part emphasized practical skills: supply chains under restrictions, forecasts for the near future, and customs trends for 2025.

The first day wrapped up with a highly useful segment for entrepreneurs on promoting Chinese goods on marketplaces. Artem Uspensky, an expert in working with Wildberries and the author of a Telegram channel about business on the platform, spoke about selecting products with marketplace features in mind, turnover and pricing systems, internal and external advertising, analytics, and working with bloggers—including a detailed practical case study.

The second day of the business program began with a session reviewing trends and consumer patterns in the home goods segment, followed by a block on specifics of import operations in 2025. Speakers discussed aspects of parallel imports and finding suppliers without intermediaries.

Next, visitors attended a business event on cross-border payments and currency legislation in international settlements.
