Presentation of ICF 2019 opportunities for Russian regions
The organizers of International Commodity Fair 2019 presented the opportunities of the trade fair for foreign partners at the VII meeting of the Council of Heads of Regional Representative Offices of Russia and invited participants to take part with regional pavilions.
About the Event
On March 26, at the initiative of the Permanent Mission of the Komi Republic, the VII meeting of the Council of Heads of Regional Representative Offices of Russian Regions in Moscow was held. The meeting was moderated and organized by the Representative Office of the Kaliningrad Region together with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. The event was attended by representatives of federal authorities, commercial organizations, universities, and over 60 regions of the Russian Federation.
At the meeting, Victoria Kharlamova, Head of National Exhibitions, and Alexandra Yurchenko, Manager of the Department of Digital Technologies and Communications from Messe Frankfurt RUS, presented the opportunities of the International Commodity Fair for regional representatives and invited guests and speakers of the meeting to participate with their own regional pavilions.
Among the speakers were representatives from Rostourism, Rosmolodezh (the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs), the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Higher School of Economics, as well as organizations supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses. In the second part of the event, all participants had the opportunity to communicate with representatives of federal authorities and foundations during an organized round of B2B meetings.
History of the Council’s Creation
It is worth noting that the initiative to create the Council of Regional Representatives of Russia belongs to the Permanent Mission of the Komi Republic, where the first organizational meeting took place on December 8. The purpose of the association is to enhance the effectiveness of the activities of regional representative offices, coordinate actions, and align positions in relations with federal government bodies, including the development of a regulatory and legal framework in the interests of Russia’s regions.
